It's crazy, the more I prepare and read for India, the less and less prepared I feel. Poverty is such a complex issue, demanding dozens of factors to all align at once, it's so huge, only God can fully fix it. And I think that'll be one of my first questions for him. Why us? Why choose weak humans to be the ambassadors of his word? I guess things will fall into place in due time.

I've also been reading a lot about the Kingdom of God, and what a holistic sense of the gospel looks like. Though, the question still remains, what would it look like if God reigned on earth? We know what God's Kingdom doesn't look like, there'd be no more slums, poverty, broken marriages, despair, etc. etc. But what would it look like? Sure, peace, love, happiness, joy, community, but it's still very very nebulous. For now though, one step at a time, one problem at a time, that's all we can do.
