beginnings of other sorts

Interesting fact, our Christian fellowship decided on the theme of "Harry Potter" for our senior send-off. How's that for irony?

Two other people and I are emceeing and decided that Lumos would be the guiding idea behind Harry Potter. For those, who don't know, Lumos is the spell which causes the wand to act like a flashlight. Converting Lumos to biblical reference = Matthew 5:14-16

Matthew 5:14-16

14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

I'll be playing Harry Potter and here's a little glimpse of what the script looks like

Hermione : Harry, why do you have that scar on your forehead?

Harry : I didn’t choose to have that scar on my forehead, why can’t I be just Harry, not the boy the lived?
Ron : Grow up Harry, Matthew 5:14-16

--

Harry : Hermione can you believe it’s been seven years already?

Hermione : Time has really flown by

Ron : we’ve learned so much, about each other and ourselves

Harry : God has been really good to us. You know, I didn’t want to be the Boy Who Lived, I just wanted to be Harry. But God has called us to be the light of the world, I finally understand that. I’m not quite ready to get out there yet, but I think we’ll do alright.

Anyway, may you all be lumos to those around you!
